Julia Hargreaves was born in Manchester, England. She received a master’s degree in art from Manchester Metropolitan University. In addition to her degree in art, she also obtained a masters degree in business administration, and a postgraduate degree in marketing, but decided to pursue her dream to be a professional artist. Using watercolour, acrylic and oil, she prefers to paint natural things like plants, animals and landscapes.
In 2004, Hargreaves was chosen out of thousands of artists worldwide to appear in the International Artist publication “How Did You Paint That? – 100 Ways to Paint Still Life and Floral, and was also chosen for the Ducks Unlimited National Art Portfolio. Many publishers, greetings card and other companies have used her designs, including Royal Doulton, Marks and Spencer, Aries Design, and Henry Ling.
