Canadian, b. 1956
Terry Ananny was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. From a young age Ananny showed a keen interest in painting and although she studied fine art during her education, she is primarily a self-taught artist. As a child, she experienced many trips from Ontario to Quebec. The rich splendour of the colourful Quebec villages were forever etched into the artist’s memory. Ananny brightly recaptures on canvas these charming landscapes and their surroundings.
Ananny has participated in numerous exhibitions and has collected a number of awards. Her works are held in well over 250 Canadian and International corporate collections. Canada’s Prime Ministers, Governor Generals and the Government of Canada have all collected her work.
Ananny is a proud supporter of major national and local charities. Her work is seen on cards, book covers, CD covers, and has been submitted for a Canadian postage stamp and Canadian coin. UNICEF has published seven unique Christmas cards over the past decade featuring her paintings.
